Welcome students on the 1st day of library and introduce how the library works with this editable read-aloud lesson and activity for kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade classes.

The teacher-librarian reads aloud one of the picture book recommendations, and after listening to the story, students complete one of the activities during the rest of library class.

This lesson has 37 total pages and slides, and includes:

  • Recommended books to read aloud during the first day of elementary library class (1 page)
