What is the difference between: Storytime Lessons, Library Lessons and Digital Bulletin Boards?

Storytime Lessons are typically for younger grades, either Kindergarten through 2nd grade, or kindergarten through 3rd grade. They include a 2-part lesson, a list of recommended books to read aloud during the lesson, and a formal lesson plan.

• Part 1 is a librarian-guided whole group lesson, and it includes a song or poem, sign language, and group discussion
• Part 2 is an independent activity, designed to keep students on-task during and after library checkout. It includes a scrolling slideshow and scavenger hunt with images for students to find (and color) in the slideshow.

Library Lessons are for older students typically in 2nd through 5th grades. Like the Storytimes, the the Library Lessons include a 2-part lesson, a recommended read-aloud book list, and a formal lesson plan.

• The first part is a whole-group discussion activity. It includes a song or poem, sign language, and group discussion. This first part is designed to be librarian- or teacher-led.
• The second part of the Library Lesson is a scrolling slideshow about that topic. This comes with TWO differentiated scavenger hunts that go with the slideshow.

Digital Bulletin Boards are longer scrolling slideshows for elementary students that can read text independently. Like Storytime Lessons and Library Lessons, they include curated recommended reads list. These products also include:

• TWO differentiated scavenger hunts that go along with the slideshow,
• Additional take home handout with extension activities, and
• NO formal lesson plan and NO whole group lesson.

Are any slides in this bundle duplicated?

Nope! While some information may be similar, no two slides or pages are the same in these library lessons. They are very different from one another.
