Teaching and reviewing library behavior expectations is an important part of your back-to-school library curriculum. Your youngest students may be visiting a library for the first time, and even returning students need reminders. These editable read-aloud activities make it easy for kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade classes to learn appropriate library behavior.

The teacher-librarian reads aloud one of the picture book recommendations, and after listening to the story, students complete one of the activities during the rest of library class.

This lesson has 104 total pages and slides, and includes:

  • Recommended books to read aloud to teach appropriate library behavior, or “good library manners” (1 page)
