You don’t have to have all of these titles in your library to use this scavenger hunt. Just make doubles of those that you DO have, and use this list to inform your collection development. Or have students use these cards to search an online database for information about their person. Or they can search in an ebook library like Sora or Epic. Students will write down the person’s name and accomplishment as an exit ticket (provided in this product), and can then research another person, if time permits.

Students can work on their own or in teams. The competition of searching for answers makes this an engaging activity for our students!

This product also includes:

  • 2 pages of Teaching Tips How to Use this Product for up to 4 library lessons
  • 2 Library Lesson Plans
  • 2 printable full-page recording sheets or exit tickets, for students to write down what they learned
  • 3 printable half-page recording sheets or exit tickets
  • 48 digital scavenger hunt cards, so students can search for books on your library’s online catalog
  • 5 digital exit tickets, to be shared via Google Slides

The thorough lesson plans included with this download can be used year after year with multiple grade levels.
