Introduce your students to different types of libraries, and help promote your local community library or public library too! These editable read-aloud activities make it easy for kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade classes to learn about getting a library card and using the public library and the school library.

The teacher-librarian reads aloud one of the picture book recommendations, and after listening to the story, students complete the activity during the rest of library class. This lesson can also be used in conjunction with a public librarian visiting your school library, or a field trip to the public library with a class.

This lesson has 33 total pages and slides, and includes:
