These shelf signs and labels are also compatible with the Genre Spine Labels from Mrs. ReaderPants (pictured below).
This product has 52 total pages & slides, and it includes:
- 124 WIDE genre shelf signs (4 signs per sheet, 32 pages total)
- 4 wide shelf signs for each genre.
- Each sign/label is 8.5″ tall (21.59 cm) and 2.75″ wide (7 cm).
- Wide shelf signs are shown at the green arrow in cover/preview photo.
- Blank templates also included.
- 62 SKINNY “shelf lip” labels (12 labels per sheet, 12 pages total)
- 2 shelf lip labels fore each genre.
- Shelf lip label size – Length varies by genre name length, and the width is just under 1″ (2.25 cm)
- Skinny shelf labels are shown at red arrow in the cover/preview photo.
- Blank templates also included.
- All images and text are editable in Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint, and PDF file formats;
- Printable on 8.5″ x 11″ letter-size paper;
- Full color + black and white versions are included.
- Designed to be adjustable for shorter shelves. Simply trim off the white areas to make the labels shorter.

These signs and labels have NOT been tested with A4 size paper, which is more popular internationally.
What do I attach the genre shelf labels to?
- You will need something to make the labels stand up on the library shelves.
- Mrs. ReaderPants uses clear, acrylic magazine file holders. The acrylic holders can be pricey, so you may find plastic, vinyl, or cardboard to be much cheaper. Search “magazine file holders” on Demco, The Library Store, or Amazon for examples.
- You can also use old encyclopedias, dictionaries, or large 3-ring binders. Wrap them in colorful butcher paper to match the genre, then attach the label to the book spine.
