Third grade students will excitedly set goals for their upcoming year by learning about different series available in the library. They’ll identify their own interests and experiences and match those to series they can connect with.

The author, Tracy from Vr2l Tch, likes using this activity on the first day of school. It can also be used any time you introduce the concept of Books As Mirrors to students.

Students will explore how books can act as mirrors, identify their own interests and experiences, and match those to series that they can connect with.

This lesson has 45 slides and pages, and it includes:

  • All About Me activity (2 pages, PDF)
