Looking for Hispanic Heritage Month activities, research, biographies, and library lesson plans? Try this library scavenger hunt!
With four informative library lessons, your students will find authors, illustrators, and biographies of Hispanic (Latiné) heroes and heroines who shaped our world.
This lesson has 31 pages and slides, and it includes:
- Lesson plans for 4 library visits
- 48 scavenger hunt cards, in print and Google Slides
- 1 full page and 2 different half-page exit tickets, in print and Google Slides
- Lists of the titles shown on the scavenger hunt cards
- Thorough lesson plans that can be used year after year with multiple grade levels
You do NOT have to have each of these titles in your library to use this scavenger hunt. You can make doubles of those that you DO have, and use this list to inform your collection development. Or have students use these cards to search an online database or library catalog for Hispanic Heritage information.
This library scavenger hunt includes printable full-page and half-page exit tickets so that your students can respond to the books and information that they find, and you can see what they’ve learned from this engaging library lesson. One of the half page exit tickets requires students to complete the Hispanic Heritage Month research tasks of giving credit to the source and stating facts in their own words.
You can use these lessons during Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15-October 15, or any time during the school year.
