Take your school library advocacy to a whole new level with this engaging, no prep scavenger hunt!
In today’s difficult times, it’s important for school librarians to advocate for themselves and their libraries. This scavenger hunt allows you to do that in a hands-on, engaging way. Show your students just how important school libraries and librarians are while having fun at the same time. Students will walk away with a better understanding of what being a librarian entails!
Prep is quick and easy… Just print the student pages and task cards, then post the task cards throughout your space and you’re ready for a fun and engaging class! Teacher directions, and an answer key are included.
Students read and hunt through 10 cards of info about libraries and librarians. Students answer 10 questions, and unscramble letters in the answers to find key word.
This lesson has 14 total pages and includes:
- Scavenger Hunt Game Play mixes a breakout and a scavenger hunt
- Ten (10) task cards, each featuring important library advocacy information
- Students work together in teams to solve 2 puzzles using the task card answers, and practicing important critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration skills.
- Students solve for the combination using the math clues given.
