This printable PDF includes:
- How to use this product
- 2 printable PDF pages: 1 for makerspaces, 1 for library centers
You may already be using library centers and makerspaces in your school library. Are your learning activities standards-based? Are you able to explain to your stakeholders how they help your students?
These printable pages can help you in two ways. One, read it through as you are planning a new makerspace or library center. Does it meet these standards? Are your students learning these skills when they participate in the activity you are planning? If not, then refine your plans so that they ARE standards-based.
The second way this printable page can help you is to document your standards-based instruction to the stakeholders (administrators or community members) who walk through your library. They may not realize that the blocks at your table are actually helping your students learn to work productively with other students to solve problems. And, if those words don’t come to mind immediately, you can just pick up your sign and read them to your visitors.
